DESCRIPTION
The Devils Chase 6.66 Mile Run, named to the Top Nine Costume Runs in the World, is the best and most unique event you will run in all year long. 98% of participants dress up in costume, majority Devil Theme costumes. People from all over the world venture to Historic Salem and join us for one Hell of a Good time. The Devils Chase attracts hundreds of Devils donning their favorite horns with pitchforks in hand for a scenic 6.66 mile race past a variety of Salem’s well-known landmarks including the Salem Common, Salem Witch Museum, a Real Haunted House, the Custom House, Salem’s Derby Wharf, the House of Seven Gables and more. The course provides two sections of in and outs allowing runners to pass their fellow Devils and admire all of the unique and entertaining costumes. You’ll know you’re nearing the end of the race when you begin running through an eerie spooky foggy finish.

Packet Pick Up Options:
Yes you can pick up for your friends.
Friday Pre Race Pickup:
Friday, October 18th, 3-6PM at B&S Headquarters. Enter Shetland Park at end of Leavitt street, and veer left in the parking lot and look for Dock 19/20 where the metal stairs are with a blue awning..
Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup:
Starting at 6:30 AM at race site at Salem Willows Soccer Field.
BIB 666 Auction:
Who will be the proud runner wearing 666 in this years event? This years auction comes with a basket FULL of amazing goodies that value OVER $600!! This years custom baskets will include: The Derby Restaurant Gift Card, Framed BIB, race day BIB, Wooden Homemade Pitchfork for the 666 Winner, Free Comp Entry to any B&S Event, Free Comp Entry to our 2023 event, VIP race site parking (PRICELESS), Custom Mask by Uncle Boogieman, 666 cinch sack, One FREE month of CrossFit at CrossFit IronSpider, and MORE! 100% of proceeds will be allocated to the Salem Food Pantry. The auction will take place race week.

Must include, horns, pitchfork, and a cape or tail for the 1st place M/F Cash Prizes!
Swag:
Cozy long sleeve t-shirts to all pre-registered participants. Finisher medals to all participants.
Merchandise:
You’ll have the opportunity to purchase additional Devils Chase & Creepy Clown merchandise during online checkout, packet pickup, or post race on race day. (Cash/check/Venmo/credit)
Parking:
The Willows parking lot is back and operational. There is also parking on the right hand side just before you reach the finish line. There is parking along Fort Avenue and at the Bentley School less than a 1/2 mile away from the race site. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARK IN FRONT OF ANY HOUSES OR IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OFF FORT AVE. YOUR CAR WILL BE TOWED. PLEASE OBEY ALL PARKING SIGNS.
Accommodations:
Hawthorne Hotel, The Hotel Salem, and The Salem Waterfront Hotel are our three recommendations. Please be sure to book as soon as possible as rooms will fill up fast.

The Devils Chase offers a scenic 6.66 mile race past a variety of Salem’s well known landmarks including the Salem Common, the Custom House, Salem’s Derby Wharf, the House of Seven Gables, Winter Island and more. Please see the map and turn by turn directions below.

Award Details:
$150 Cash Prize to the Top Male & Female Devil (See mandatory costume details below)

Top 3 M/F in each age group: Under 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
Top 3 Non-Binary

Post Race Festivities (WE GOT BEER!):
Notch Beer Company will be pouring 3-4 kinds of beer, Mimosas provided by Salem Wine Imports, an assortment of food and drink will be available post race including apple cider, pumpkin bread and more. DJ Lanie Mac will be blasting the tunes!!

The Devils Chase supports a variety of organizations including Salem Children’s Charity, Fellowship Christian Academy and Good Sports, Inc.
Race Refunds & Event Cancellations:
We understand life happens and things may come up. We’ve implemented a defer and transfer policy for FREE up to a certain date for all B&S events. Transfers or deferments made after said date will incur a small fee for administration purposes. In the case of event cancellation due to public safety, inclement weather or some other unforeseen power at be, the event will then become virtual.
